national fine thread
(NF) A standard for the threads of nuts and bolts in which the number of threads per inch is much greater than a coarse (NC) nut or bolt. Also called unified National Fine thread. Observe the difference in the number of threads per inch (TPI) of the NF and NC in the following chart
